College Magazine Analysis


The target audience for this magazine are college students. This would be an average range of age between 16 – 25.

This particular issue of this college magazine specifies towards being green and environmentally friendly. As this is the feature to this issue the one of the main colours used on the cover is in fact green. There are two main colours used on this magazine for the font, these are green and white. However, there is a feature of purple on the cover as well.
As the audience to this magazine are college students they would normally not have a lot of money, so this issue is free. This would encourage more students to pick up this magazine because they do not have to pay for it. This may make them more interested in buying the magazine in the future. It enables them to see what they would find in the magazine and understand what they would be paying for if they got any future issues.

The main image is rather random for the cover of a college magazine. The main image used for the front cover is in fact a lamp post with some graffiti on it. Keeping the main image simple makes it look more effective and interesting because it is different. This image makes the magazine look more original because it has a prop instead of a person as the main image. There are no other images on the cover of this magazine. This stops it from making it too overwhelming for the readers. It also makes it look more professional as it is in fact a college magazine.

There are four different fonts used on the cover of this magazine. The use of a variety of fonts being used makes the front cover more appealing. As, one font throughout would make it look boring.
