NME

As NME is a well respected and longest published weekly magazine in the world, it currently reachers over one million music fans each week. The magazine covers alot of contemporary music and includes giving the readers information on the latest releases, live reviews and also gives a guide to new bands around. NME, belongs to the IPC and its editor is Krissi Murison. It was first published in February 1976. The current pricee of NME is £2.20.

NME's genre of music is indie / rock, you can tell this by the layout of the front covers of this magazine. Their presentation suits the particular target audience in mind. The age range of NME is 16-19 year olds, predominantly males in the ABC1 groups.

I found some statistics on NME's readers. Over 65% of the readers are infact males. Over 73% of the readers are under the age of 34 and 79% of readers are in ABC1 group.
